Yes, after you have made your booking, we will give you details as to how to access our storage yard and where to leave your vehicle, so that you can drop it off and pick it up at any time. These are usually sent to you by text the day before your vehicle storage starts.

Yes, for your peace of mind we do everything possible to ensure maximum security for your vehicle. Park and Fly Nelson’s yard is fully fenced with locked gates. We also have a security camera which captures people entering or leaving the yard.

Our daily rate is $8 / day, with a minimum charge of $64 and a maximum charge of $165 / month.

Yes, if your trip is cancelled for any reason and you give us at least 24 hours’ notice, then we will refund what you have paid (minus any card surcharges if paid by credit card). If you cancel within 24 hours, we will retain a $30 administration fee and refund you the rest of your payment.

If your return flight to Nelson is delayed due to circumstance beyond your control, we will give you up to 7 days of free parking. If you are delayed for longer than that, after the 7-day free period, we will charge you $5.50 / day to help cover our land lease costs.

Yes, of course. Please tick the appropriate box under additional charges if you have a particular garage that you would like to use. The following places will pick up your vehicle and return it to us, for no additional service charge (just let us know when your vehicle is booked in for):

  

Whenever possible, we cycle to and from our storage yard. In 2023 we planted over 500 native tree seedlings as part of the Tahunanui Hills Revegetation Project, which extends out from Tosswill Reserve, to enhance the environment, increase native wildlife and minimise erosion.

  

No problem, just put tba (to be advised) for your return date, Nelson eta and flight number, and email us the details as soon as you have booked your return flight. There is no need to pay until your return date is confirmed. After you have made your online booking, please email or text us that you would like your booking confirmed.

  

When parking your vehicle with us for a month or more, our parking charge for cars is half the price of Nelson Airport. Nelson Airport parking charges can be found online here.

  

As we only have space for 50 vehicles, we recommend that you make your car parking booking with us as soon as you have booked your flight out of Nelson.

  

We don’t have a minimum or maximum storage time, but we do have a minimum charge of $64.

  

Yes, we can. There is no height restriction. For vehicles over 5m in length, please select the appropriate box under additional products. If your vehicle is over 8m long, please select 2 vehicles, do not tick the ‘over 5m length’ option, and write in the notes the length of your vehicle so that we can reserve a suitable space for it.

  

To keep our prices as low as possible, and as our 18 Quarantine Road yard is only 5 minutes’ walk from the airport, we do not offer a shuttle service. A taxi from our yard to the airport is less than $15. Alternatively, you can book our Meet and Greet service, but this is an additional $50 ($25 to meet you at the airport prior to your flight out and $25 to bring your car there after you have landed in Nelson). Please phone us prior to booking if you require this service on a weekend or public holiday, as normally it is only available Monday to Friday.

For added convenience, you can pay by credit card when you make your booking, but there is a card payment surcharge.

Please use your surname and vehicle registration number as reference.

  

Depending on how full we are, we may need to move your vehicle to a long-term spot or so that other vehicles can be accessed. We will only drive your vehicle within our yard, unless you have requested us to take it somewhere for servicing.

Also, if you are away for over a month, we like to check that your vehicle will start prior to your return and, if necessary, charge up your car battery.

  

No problem. For vehicles left with us for more than 2 months, we will normally disconnect the negative terminal on your start battery to reduce the chances of it going flat. We will also charge your battery once every couple of months – you just need to email us a reminder. This will help to minimise the chances of your battery going flat. This will save you money because if your start battery does go totally flat, it will significantly reduce the life of your battery.

  

We have a 20’ shipping container that we can store small to medium sized vehicles in for an extra $5 / day – this needs to be booked as an ‘additional product’ when making your booking. For larger vehicles, please phone us to discuss other options at our other storage yards. Alternatively, if you provide your own car cover, we are happy to put it on for you and adjust it if it blows off. If buying a car cover, we recommend that you get a medium priced one that is slightly larger than your car. If it is too small, it will just blow off and the cheapest car covers only last a few months in Nelson’s sun.

Yes, we have a special long-term rate of only $138 / month, paid monthly in advance (minimum period is 6 months). If this is the deal for you, then please phone us so that we can get you set up.

There is parking at Nelson Airport, and you do not need to book. Their charges can be found here.

Yes, we can give you vehicle keys to whoever you wish while you’re away – you just need to give us as much notice as possible of who will be using your vehicle, their contact details and when they will be using it.

For last minute, same day bookings, you cannot book online so please call us on 027 407 2074 to check if we have space.
